In a historic event, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Canada organized the first-ever Ram Rath Yatra in Canada, culminating in the presence of Shri Ram Lalla at the Canadian Parliament. This unprecedented event, held on the 26th of March, 2024, at Parliament Hill, Centennial Ground in Ottawa, marked a significant moment in Canadian history.
Honorable MP Chandra Arya played a pivotal role in the event, inviting multi-faith leaders to a session on “Sharing Hindu Heritage with Diversified Faith Communities.” This session saw the participation of various religious leaders who shared insights on how Shri Ram’s values can promote diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism in the modern world.
Other respected representatives from Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Canada and VHP Canada. MP Chandra Arya, along with Jodi Green from the Jewish Federation of Ottawa, joined representatives from VHP Canada and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Canada to seek blessings from Shri Ram Lalla.
The VHP Canada team expressed their gratitude to MP Chandra Arya for his efforts in bringing together leaders from diverse faith communities. They also thanked all the multi-faith leaders for their messages of brotherhood, diversity, and multiculturalism.
The Ram Rath Yatra, organized by VHP Canada, continued for three days, with the third day being a divine experience at the BAPS Mandir in Toronto. The yatra provided an opportunity for all present to seek the blessings of Shri Ram Lalla.
The event at the Canadian Parliament and the Ram Rath Yatra symbolize the growing importance of Hindu heritage and values in Canada, highlighting the country’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Jai Shri Ram!
