Cambridge Gujarati Hindu Society Celebrates Holi with Vibrant Outdoor Event

The festival of colors, Holi, came alive in Cambridge as the city’s Gujarati Hindu Society organized a grand celebration at Riverside Park. Nearly 400+ enthusiastic community members participated in this vibrant festival.

This was the city’s first outdoor Holi event and it became an instant hit. The event began with the traditional Holika Dahan ritual, followed by participants joyfully splashing each other with Gulal (Colour Powder) during the event. Members of the community smeared each other with colors, creating a colorful and joyous atmosphere.

Holi is a festival that brings people of all ages together, the traditional songs and music of Holi had everyone dancing with full of joy. Participants also enjoyed traditional Holi delicacies during the event, adding to the festive spirit.

Speaking about the event, a volunteer member of the Cambridge Hinndu Society Society said, “It’s truly delightful to see such a large number of community members come together to celebrate Holi. This festival is not just about colors; it’s also about spreading love, joy, and unity.”

Community members expressed their gratitude for being able to come together in such large numbers after the challenges posed by the pandemic, and they are eager to continue this tradition in the coming years.

The Cambridge Gujarati Hindu Society thanked everyone who contributed to making the event a success and looks forward to celebrating Holi with even more enthusiasm in the future.

The Cambridge Gujarati Hindu Society team, led by President Ankit Patel and supported by dedicated volunteers such as Heenaben Patel, Maulika Patel, Kalrav Shah, Vatsal Bhuva, Deep Patel, Nimesh Patel, Ravi Patel, Chirag Patel, Kinresh Patel, Neel, Smit Patel, Deep Sanghvi and many others, poured their hearts and souls into making this event truly unforgettable. Their unwavering dedication and hard work were instrumental in the success of the event, ensuring that it was a joyous and memorable celebration for all who attended.
